THE presumed cost of President "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s (BBM's) participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, has obscured all positive discussions about it. Even those who traveled with the President to the resort capital now seem embarrassed to talk about it.

With the problems facing the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the concerns expressed on where to source the Maharlika sovereign wealth fund, and other related issues, I have begun to wonder whether BBM has not developed any second thoughts at all about his having gone to Davos.
