REGIME change is the conclusion of a reader's lengthy comment on my last column, "All in Bongbong": "The presence of a superior military force in the phil territory means phil is an occupied state, like [what] japan, south korea, [or] germany is right now. Potentially, PBBM can be abducted again, in a regime change scenario."

The reader's comment has a way of validating my actual assessment that the series of drastic moves by the President in the top echelons of the Armed Forces indicated a brewing disturbance in the country's military. As expressed by former Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief and former senator Rodolfo Biazon, where we have a "confused man with the gun," we must be in trouble. My own words on the matter, as written in my earlier column, "Times of Trouble": "In all cases, wherever a state's armed forces are up against each other, the resultant scenario is regime change."
