The Executive department was urged to amend Executive Order 12 signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in January 2023 that modified the import duties of electric vehicles and components to include electric motorcycles.
Electric Kick Scooter of the Philippines co-founder Tim Vargas said that the EO should also cover two-wheeled electric motorcycles.
