Newly-discovered asteroids named after Jesuits, Pope Gregory 13th

AT least four newly-discovered asteroids have been named after Jesuit priests, according to the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).

Quoting the Vatican Observatory, the CBCP identified them as: '560974 Ugoboncompagni,' after Ugo Boncompagni (1502–1585) and Pope Gregory 13th; '562971 Johannhagen' after Jesuit Father Johann Hagen (1847–1930), director of the Vatican Observatory from 1906 to 1930; '551878 Stoeger' for Father Bill Stoeger, also a Jesuit (1943–2014), a cosmologist and theologian at the Vatican Observatory; and '565184 Janusz' for Jesuit Father Robert Janusz (b. 1964), currently on the staff of the observatory.
