PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday hailed the establishment of the Kapatid Angat Lahat for Agriculture Program (Kalap), a private sector-led initiative, which he said will enable farmers, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to become "more productive, profitable, sustainable and globally competitive."

"We know very well how MSMEs are crucial in the creation of new ideas, of jobs and wealth in the country, so it is only right that we recognize the power and the influence that this sector holds," the Chief Executive said in his speech after witnessing the ceremonial signing of a memorandum of agreement (MoA) between the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the private sector led by Go Negosyo in Malacañang.
