THE Philippines has begun reshaping its maritime safety initiatives, an indication that the country is on the right track toward good maritime safety practices, the executive of a top vessel operator in the country said.

FastCat Ferries Executive Vice President Mary Ann Pastrana said the country has started its transition in terms of maritime safety from safety reporting and learning practices to a safe learning culture.
