THIS week, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) started its dry run for the implementation of the exclusive motorcycle lane along Quezon City's Commonwealth Avenue, one of the widest roads in Metro Manila.
The traffic enforcers accosted 2,931 riders for straying outside the motorcycle lane. This is sufficient proof that these motorcycle riders, especially the delivery guys, are so used to zigzagging and weaving in and out of lanes to the consternation of the car drivers. They always drive like they need to rush to their destination no matter what, and those who are in their way be damned.
