The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)'s second Philippine Creative Industries Summit at the PICC in Manila brought together the different sectors to discuss and enhance the current state of the Philippine creative industry. The Summit was a platform to gather the country's institutional partners and stakeholders.

In the last several years, major strides have been made to empower and champion the sectors, especially with the passage of the Philippine Creative Industries Development Act (PCIDA) or the Republic Act No. 11904.
