IMUS CITY, Cavite: To further strengthen the city's sports development program, Mayor Alex Advincula revived the sport of softball by hosting the 1st AJAA Cup inter-barangay softball tournament held at the Imus Grandstand and Track Oval in Barangay Malagasang 1-G.
Advincula said softball was popular in the 1970s and 1980s not only in Cavite but in the entire country. He said Cavite used to be a powerhouse in the sport and some members of the Blu Boys national softball teams in the past are from Cavite.
