With most of the Holy Week unavailable for pressers and promotions, stars of the first-ever Summer Metro Manila Film Festival have been scrambling since Monday to get both word and proof out that their respective entries are the must-see come April 8, Black Saturday. Said rush has translated to back-to-back-to back interviews and celebrity premieres spread over the last four days, all bringing us to this — a clear picture that the movie industry is banking on the most sought-after male actors of the day to get the audiences December's MMFF didn't lure back to the cinemas watching again. And from what The T-Zone has learned and seen, the 1st Summer MMFF's men of the moment are compelling enough to get it done.
