A few months ago, a very prominent international self-help "guru" died under mysterious circumstances. His family was quick to squash any doubt about his death by immediately releasing a press release highlighting that it was caused by previous heart issues but both fans and detractors held their breath knowing that a healthy young guy did not just die.

Earlier this week news came out that the death was caused by a lethal combination of drugs and alcohol that were found in his system. This was a guy who built an empire on 'wellness, Christian values, and healthy living' and while I weep for his four children, my heart is also broken for the many people he profited off of under the guise of being a wise being who had all the answers to life. In reality, he, just like most of us, was just struggling with life's circumstances and was in no position to dole out advice.
