THE United States (US) Embassy in Manila has alerted American citizens in the Philippines on the reported rise of diphtheria cases nationwide.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a Level 2 travel health notice on May 1 after "several regions" reported an increase in the number of people infected with the disease.
