I RECENTLY read about this again in an article in The New Republic, published on March 17 and titled "Does Biden Suffer from Indispensable Man Syndrome?" It was about whether President Joe Biden should run for reelection given he will be 82 at the time, given that ironically one of the reasons former president Barack Obama selected him to be his running mate in 2008 was that he would be considered too old to run in 2016 and thus, not spend his time positioning to be president. Yet, here he is running again, and his likely opponent is a demented person who was the second oldest president, nearly as old as him and facing multiple indictments. An even more deluded basket case of the indispensable man syndrome. Unfortunate situation.

Some, as provided by The New Republic, have foreshadowed the likely 2024 election between Biden and former president Donald Trump as the rematch nobody wants. Amusingly, Biden described his pitch as "don't compare me to the almighty, but to the alternative."
