NET foreign direct investments (FDI) rose in February, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reported on Wednesday, accelerating by 13.0 percent to $1.0 billion from $926 million a year earlier.

The increase was said to be due to higher net investments in debt instruments by nonresidents, which offset declines in net equity capital placements and reinvestment of earnings.
