THE peso gained anew on Friday and the stock market rebounded from the previous day's dip as investors digested the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' (BSP) holding off from raising interest rates further.
The currency strengthened by 20 centavos to close at P55.67 against the dollar. The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) added 35.91 points, or 0.54 percent, to end the week at 6,664.55.
