Dear PAO,

I am a retiree who was able to buy a really old car from the 1960s from a vintage car collector. This purchase had been sitting idle in my garage for years without being used since it was not registered. With the passage of the new law for vintage vehicles, I am excited to restore and use my vintage car. However, I am hearing different takes on what kind of modifications are allowed so that it can be legally registered and used on public roads. Because of this, I am unsure of what modifications I can make for the restoration of my vintage car so that it can be street legal. Can you provide the applicable provision of the law for the allowed modifications on vintage vehicles?
