Based on the last count, there are 408 athletes qualified to join the national team in this year's Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Bambol Tolentino said that he already made a list of athletes – from individual to team sports – that will comprise the Philippine Team contingent in the Asian Games.
"We started with the gold and silver medalists (in the Southeast Asian Games). But not all especially those athletes with world ranking and Asian ranking," said Tolentino.
"(It's) 410 athletes more or less," added Tolentino.

The current Tagaytay City mayor mentioned the men's and women's teams of basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and even Rugby Sevens as among the team sports expected to send a contingent in the Asian Games.
He said that the goal in the Asian Games is to surpass the four gold medals the country captured during the previous Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games in Indonesia back in 2018.
Yuka Saso was a double gold medalist in that edition of the Asian Games when she bagged the individual title in women's golf, and powered the women's team to the championship.
Hidilyn Diaz ruled the women's 53-kologram category in weightlifting, while skateboarder Margielyn Didal won in the women's street skateboard in roller sports five years ago in Indonesia.
"Surpass our four gold medals in Indonesia Asian Games, we'll just stick to that," said Tolentino.
The said meet in Hangzhou was originally set last year but due to the global pandemic brought by the Covid-19, organizers decided to push the staging of the meet to September this year.
