AT least five renewable energy (RE) projects by foreign investors are expected to come into the country this year, the Board of Investments (BoI) said.

In an interview with reporters on the sidelines during Aboitiz InfraCapital's 30th-anniversary event in Balamban, Cebu on May 25, 2023, Trade Undersecretary and BoI Managing Head Cerefino Rodolfo said RE would make up the bulk of the investments for the year as the current administration continues to seek foreign partners as it aims to grow the economy through digitalization and sustainability.
