SUGAR Regulatory Administration (SRA) Acting Administrator Pablo Luis Azcona said that around 2.5 million metric tons (MMT) of sugar must be produced in order for the Philippines to attain self-sufficiency in the sugar industry.
During a public briefing on Wednesday, Azcona said this initiative is part of improving the sugar production in the country.
