ESTABLISHING a sovereign wealth fund during a time of deficits and record government debt could affect fiscal consolidation efforts, an economist said.
"[T]he urgency of creating a fund comes into question," bank economist Domini Velasquez said, noting that seed money will primarily be taken from government agencies and financial institutions.
