PH now in energy transition – DoE

ENERGY Secretary Raphael Lotilla on Thursday told the World Bank that the Philippines is undergoing an "energy transition" phase as it gravitates toward renewable energy (RE).

"In this energy transition, I want to emphasize a number of things. First, our focus remains on Sustainable Development Goal 1, which is the reduction of poverty and increasing the access of our people to energy," Lotilla said during his Keynote Speech at the World Bank Philippine Economic Update at the Seda Hotel in Bonifacio Global City.
