Muntinlupa pilots Comelec early voting project for barangay polls

THE city of Muntinlupa is leading the way in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 30, being chosen by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) as a pilot location to test its early voting project for vulnerable sectors.

'We welcome this initiative by the Comelec to test new ways in the voting process, especially to help persons with disabilities (PWDs), seniors and pregnant women — those who are recognized as especially vulnerable — and make the voting process easier and more accessible for them," Mayor Ruffy Biazon says.
