The newly elected officials and members of the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) formally took their oath of office on March 21. Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, who shares the group's advocacy in promoting Filipino movies via the successful string of QCinema Film Festivals, served as the inducting officer in a simple ceremony held at her office at the Quezon City Hall.

Salve Asis, entertainment editor of top tabloids "Pilipino Star Ngayon" and "Pang Masa," leads the group as its new president. She was inducted along with other SPEEd officials, including Gerry Olea (Philippine Entertainment Portal), External Vice President; Gie Trillana (Malaya) and Maricris Nicasio (Hataw) as Secretaries; Dondon Sermino (Abante) and Dinah Sabal Ventura (Daily Tribune) as Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer; Ervin Santiago (Bandera) and Nickie Wang (Manila Standard) as PRO; and Rohn Romulo (People's Balita), Auditor. Tessa Mauricio-Arriola (The Manila Times), Internal Vice President, was unable to attend the oathtaking due to an unforeseen matter.
