MANILA, Philippines: Mel George Faitriz Cadano gave away a draw in the final round against Ruel Espino but still bagged the championship of the "Ang Buhay at Batas" 1599-Below FIDE Rapid Chess Tournament held at the Philippine Academy for Chess Excellence (PACE) headquarter in Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City last Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Cadano finished the tournament with 5.5 points, the same output as Joie Presente.
