CONFRONTED with the possibility of getting canceled in a geopolitical war with China, and one that could go nuclear and genocidal, we need to consider that in the end, to paraphrase John Maynard Keynes, we are all dead. Our political leaders have an even shorter political life span — six years for a single-term president and for all those riding on his coattails.
We need to make living with others much more bearable during the brief time we would be together. Kind and generous, self-giving and forgiving. Thinking of others first and forgetting ourselves. Rejecting quarrels and trying to work well with everyone.
