BANGKOK — Thailand's Constitutional Court accepted on Thursday a petition from members of the Southeast Asian country's outgoing Senate to begin an ethics probe against Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin over his appointment of a Cabinet member with a prison record.

If found guilty, Srettha could be removed from his position.
