MANILA, Philippines — Tim Cone believes that Gilas Pilipinas' success in the upcoming FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament hinges on the national squad beating either host Latvia or Georgia in the group phase.
"I think for us to think any success at this point, we need to get to the crossover, we need to either beat Latvia or Georgia to feel like we've had success," Cone said in a recent interview conducted by veteran sportscaster Carlo Pamintuan that was posted at the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas' website.
