THE Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) and the Embassy of Italy in the Philippines, in cooperation with the Manila Symphony Orchestra Foundation, co-organized an exciting concert devoted to music by the composer of "Tosca" and "Turandot" at the Arete Ateneo Hyundai Hall in Quezon City on May 26.

Titled "The Young Puccini," the event featured the musician's compositions that had never been performed in the Philippines or perhaps all of Southeast Asia. It also marked the centennial of Giacomo Puccini's death in Brussels, Belgium, on Nov. 29, 1924.
