THE International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) has commissioned a study on energy-related port investments in developing countries and collaborated with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to bolster global port sustainability, resilience and security.

IAPH Managing Director Patrick Verhoeven highlighted the importance of this study in contributing to discussions on market-based measures at the IMO's Intersessional Working Group on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions, scheduled after the next Marine Environment Protection Committee session.
