(UPDATES) MALACAÑANG slammed transport group Manibela for the supposed physical attack perpetrated by several of its members on a reporter who was covering a transport strike staged by the group early this week in Quezon City.

The Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) claimed veteran radio reporter Valdez Gonzales was punched "at least twice" and "for no apparent reason" on the waist by one of the members of Manibela while delivering his field report along East Avenue, which the transport group closed to traffic.
