MANILA, Philippines — Visiting Permanent Court Arbitration (PCA) Secretary General Marcin Czepalak recognized the Philippines' support for the international organization devoted to the peaceful settlement of disputes.

In July 2016, the PCA ruled against China's expansive claim in the South China Sea which encroached on the Philippines' exclusive economic zone. China, however, rejected the ruling.
