IT'S not supposed to happen in America, extolled in its anthem as "the land of the free" and in its foreign policy as leader of the free world and defender of democracy. Yet it's happening more and more: the restriction of free expression by mass and social media.
And like ordinary Americans, we Filipinos, along with other people in the grip of the American mainstream media (MSM) and social media, may also find what we see, hear and think falling under the sway of Western power wielders.
