Whoever said that after gossiping (i.e., "making" chismis or marites), the second most favorite pastime of Filipinos is to belt out on the videoke could well be mistaken. For if the sold-out ticket sales of two of Original Pilipino Music's beloved artists, Ogie Alcasid and Ice Seguerra, when each cleverly took the concept to the concert stage are anything to go by, the Japanese invention, which this country turned into a cultural phenomenon, would unquestionably take first place. After all, aren't we more prominently acknowledged as a country of singers rather than gossips? Heck, even Simon Cowell knows that whoever you are, that is wrong!
All the same, more proof is about to come whoever's way, as the country's Ultimate Singer-Songwriter, Ogie Alacasid, and OPM Acoustic icon, Ice Seguerra, respectively, reprise their hit videoke concerts this November.
