Magnolia forward Calvin Abueva has been discharged from the hospital following an inadvertent hit on the neck by Blackwater rookie guard Sedrick Barefield during their PBA Commissioner's Cup game Thursday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Malate, Manila.
The 6-foot-2 Abueva was left lying on the floor during the accidental hit with still 3:19 left in the second period. He was eventually taken out of the playing venue on a stretcher, with a neck brace where he was brought into the nearby Manila Doctors Hospital.
