TOYOTA stamped its authority at the 2025 Dakar Rally with a powerful performance that saw four of its crews finish in the top ten, including a coveted 1-2 overall result. The brand's rally machines took victory on all but four of the 12 stages — plus the Prologue at Bisha — underlining the quality, durability and reliability for which the Toyota Hilux is renowned for. With its drivers collecting vital points at the world's toughest off-road event, Toyota now leads the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) manufacturer standings by a commanding 34-point margin.

Saudi national Yazeed Al Rajhi delivered a dream result by winning the Dakar on home soil, driving his Toyota to a remarkable finish that also gave him the early lead in the W2RC standings with 70 points. Henk Lategan, also piloting a Toyota, was not far behind in second place overall, securing 55 points in the championship. The pair had been neck-and-neck throughout much of the rally, trading the lead on multiple stages and ultimately handing Toyota a brilliant one-two result.
