(UPDATE) POWER distributor Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said Friday that some parts of National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal will experience power interruptions this coming weekend because of maintenance works.

In Metro Manila, a portion of Brgy. Panghulo in Malabon will have no power on Feb. 1, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. due to replacement of poles and installation of facilities. The affected area for this is a portion of Main Street from near Bautista St. to and including Karisma Village, Brgy. Panghulo.
In Manila, some areas in Malate and Ermita will have power interruptions between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2025, to give way to line reconductoring works, installation of additional lightning protection devices, and the replacement of a hazardous electricity pole.
Between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. and then, between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., power interruptions will hit several areas including:
– A portion of M. Adriatico St. from Padre Faura St. in Ermita to near BDO in Malate;
– A portion of Sta. Monica St. from M. Adriatico St. to near A. Mabini St. in Ermita;
– A portion of Pedro Gil St. from M. Adriatico St. to A. Mabini St. in Ermita;
– A portion of J. Bocobo St. from Pedro Gil St. to near Remedios Circle including Baydragon Shipping Agency Corp. in Malate;


– A portion of Gen. Malvar St. from Majika Spa to near PNB in Malate;
– A portion of Alonzo St. from J. Bocobo St. to A. Mabini St. including Fortrem Realty Corp. in Malate;
