THE Baltic and International Maritime Council (Bimco) has flagged rising uncertainty in the global container shipping market as new US tariffs and disruptions in the Red Sea delay a return to normal trade patterns.

Bimco chief shipping analyst Niels Rasmussen said recent US policy changes are "supercharging market uncertainty," creating headwinds for liner operators and disrupting established deployment strategies.
