FEDERATION of Free Workers leader and senatorial candidate Sonny Matula said on Saturday that laws are needed to guarantee the safety of employees amid the worsening effects of climate change.

"The rising temperatures are a serious health risk for workers. All enterprises, regardless of size, should have programs to address heat stress," Matula said in a meeting with business process outsourcing workers and trade union leaders in Luzon.
