MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. received a 61.8 percent satisfaction rating, the highest in a survey on government performance conducted in May.
The Tangere research firm said the President's high mark, a 10 percent increase from the last survey, positioned the Office of the President as the highest-rated branch of the Philippine government.
The surge in approval is largely attributed to the administration's progress on campaign promises, including the rollout of P20 rice, irrigation projects boosting farm yields, improvements in pediatric healthcare, and the completion of National Housing Authority (NHA) units.
The survey, conducted on May 8–9, 2025, with 1,500 participants nationwide, highlighted strong support from lower-income (Classes D and E) and rural respondents.
The Cabinet also saw a rise in approval, climbing from 49.4 percent to 51.9 percent.
While the President's office leads in public satisfaction, the Philippine National Police (PNP) scored the lowest at 44.4 percent.
Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte, currently facing an impeachment trial in the Senate, received a 48.4 percent satisfaction rating.
The House of Representatives remains the top performer in the legislative branch with a 55.7 percent rating. The Senate also saw improvement, rising to 49.5 percent.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) maintained strong public trust, with an average satisfaction rating of 60 percent. The Philippine Army led at 60.2 percent, followed by the Navy (59.8 percent) and Air Force (58.5 percent).
The Supreme Court, under Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, scored 45.2 percent (net of aware respondents).
The Commission on Elections (Comelec), buoyed by preparations for the midterm elections, topped independent commissions at 53.0 percent, outpacing the Commission on Audit (43.5 percent) and Commission on Appointments (43.0 percent).
The survey used a mobile-based application with stratified random sampling, covering National Capital Region (12 percent), Northern Luzon (23 percent), Southern Luzon (22 percent), Visayas (20 percent), and Mindanao (23 percent). It has a ±2.48 percent margin of error at a 95 percent confidence level.
