Yoshiko Ishiba, spouse of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, visited the Philippines on April 29 and 30 as part of the prime minister's official trip to the country. On April 30, Mrs. Ishiba took part in several cultural and educational engagements in Metro Manila and Laguna.

Mrs. Ishiba was warmly welcomed at the Manila Japanese School, where students greeted her with a taiko drum performance and the singing of the school song during a welcome ceremony. A student representative delivered opening remarks, followed by Mrs. Ishiba, who thanked the students and staff for the reception.
