THREE soldiers were wounded during an encounter between government security forces and the Islamic State (IS)-inspired Maute group in Sultan Domalondong, Lanao del Sur on Thursday.

Col. Romeo Brawner Jr., commander of the Philippine Army’s 103rd Infantry Brigade, said the Maute, about 30 members, were led by Owaydah Benito Marohombsar alias Abu Dar.
