THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will recommend to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) the disqualification of 643 local officials who may run in the elections in 2019.
Interior Officer-in-Charge Eduardo Año told reporters on Wednesday that of the total 93 were on the drug list, 300 suspended and dismissed since July 2016, and 250 currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) for corruption allegations.
