As soon as 90-year-old screen legend Eddie Garcia’s wake opened to the public on Friday afternoon, Philippine Entertainment’s who’s who flocked one after another to Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City to mourn the loss of its most legendary star yet.

As of his passing on June 20, Garcia’s filmography numbered to more than 400, not counting his titles for television where he was most active until the day of his unfortunate accident; and had been hailed as one if not the most awarded Filipino actors of all time, with an unbeaten record of 20 Famas wins across his acting and directorial works, spanning seven decades.
