“TOKHANG” is the Philippines’ word of the year, according to Filipino language experts on Friday.
Writer Mark Angeles from the University of Iowa nominated the word that meant “to approach and talk” in Visayan and which was part of the anti-drug campaign of President Rodrigo Duterte known as “Oplan Tokhang” enforced by the Philippine National Police (PNP)
