Banking giant HSBC believes that government efforts to address above-target inflation will lead to wider budget and current account deficits.
Initiatives such as the recommended suspension of a fuel tax hike next year will likely help ease inflation expectations and, at the very least, limit the potential for a broad-based price increase at the start of 2019, HSBC said in a new report.
