Lower inflation and higher interest rates will provide support for the peso in 2019, ANZ Research said, following a year that has seen the currency fall to a 13-year low.
“We forecast USD/PHP to end 2019 at 52.00 [to the dollar],” it estimated in a report, an improvement from its P52.80:$1 forecast for this year.
