COTABATO CITY: The Philippine Army launched massive manhunt operations against the New People’s Army (NPA) communist rebels, who set off two roadside bombs that killed a police officer and wounded eight others on Monday night in Magpet, North Cotabato.
Col. Erlich Noel Paraso, commander of the Army’s 19th Infantry Battalion (19IB) on Tuesday said the operation was ongoing in the mountains of Magpet, particularly near the country’s highest peak Mount Apo.
