Arroyo keeps off speakership race

Outgoing House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has kept her silence on whether she is supporting a candidate who will succeed her after she retires from public office.

“As President [Rodrigo] Duterte and [Davao City] Mayor Sara [Duterte-Carpio] have done, I can do no less. I don’t talk about it. I will not talk about it,” Arroyo said in a taped interview over ANC’s Independence Series on Tuesday night.
