Defending champion San Miguel Beer head coach Leo Austria defended Christian Standhardinger in Game 2 incident with Calvin Abueva, saying the 6’7 Filipino-German had no intention to hurt the Phoenix Pulse’s rugged player during their highly physical encounter last Wednesday.
“We’re relying only on the video but if you will see before that happened, there was a foul on Christian (Standhardinger). He was pulled down but no foul was called, and that was given though,” Austria told reporters in Filipino.
