BAGUIO CITY: A Palace official said it would be hard for local government units (LGUs) to get their share of resources from the national government unless the Autonomous Region in the Cordillera (ARC) is established under the present administration.

Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Assistant Secretary Orville Ballitoc said most of the 75 municipalities in the region are in the fourth to sixth category because they did not meet the criteria set for LGUs, which are land area and population.
